Carine’s Kitchen | Episode 5 – Jamaica | Ackee & Saltfish

Hey guys welcome to episode 5 , a country and dish that are especially close to my heart !
Carine’s kitchen goes to Jamaica ???????? ????
I will be dishing up Jamaica’s national dish Ackee & Saltfish with a side of fried dumpling and plantain. This dish is full of colour, flavours and spice! Not to mention its super quick and easy to make
Please do enjoy and give it a go yourself

Saltfish (salted cod)
1 tin of Ackee
Mixed peppers
Scallion/Spring onion
1 white onion
1 Scotch bonnet pepper (or more if you’re brave)
2 chopped tomatoes
Thyme (fresh and dried)
Black pepper
3 cloves of Garlic

Fried Dumpling :
Self raising flour
Cornmeal (optional)
Sugar (optional)
Cooking oil of choice

Don’t forget your Plantain (Yellow)
