Football, Politics and Cake

Nicolas-Tyrell is a freelance music journalist, speaker and podcast host.

Over the years, he has been featured on platforms such as BBC, The Grapevine TV, DJ Booth, Hypebeast, Lost Culture, Guap Magazine and many more. Regarding music, he loves writing about moments in time, niche movements, and power shifts in the contemporary arena. As of late, a resurgence of women in hip-hop (at a level of frequent visibility) has dominated his fascination. Another area of intrigue is Drake and his positioning in the contemporary pop industry.

“My main interests outside of music are traveling, examining popular culture and the nuances between multiple eras in relation to this terrain. Travelling and food are two of my imperatives for past-times and I frequently visit other countries in Europe and beyond in my own time.”
